This spring, Geminos DojoĀ proudly hosted its annual Spring Grading and Belt CeremonyĀ ā a cornerstone event for our Kyokushin community. Held at our Main Dojo in Bradford, this celebration of progress brought together students, instructors, and families to mark a major milestone in our studentsā martial arts journeys. š„šø
2ļøā£ Grading Weekend ā May 30ā31
During the final weekend of May, students were tested on their physical, technical, and mental preparedness based on WKO ShinkyokushinkaiĀ standards. šÆšµš„
Candidates demonstrated their knowledge and abilities through:
š Written TestĀ ā Covering karate history, terminology, and theory
𦶠Kihon (Basic Techniques)Ā ā Executing stances, strikes, and blocks with control
š Kata (Forms)Ā ā Showcasing form, balance, and concentration
š Kumite (Sparring)Ā ā Testing timing, power, and composure in combat
š„ Tameshiwari (Breaking)Ā ā Proving focus and striking precision
šāāļø Physical TestĀ ā Measuring stamina, strength, and spirit
šŖ All participants brought energy, determination, and respect to every stage of the grading.
3ļøā£ Grading Ceremony & Belt Presentation ā June 6
š On June 6th, we hosted our official Spring Grading Ceremony and Belt Celebration. The event ran from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PMĀ and welcomed students, family members, and dojo supporters. š
